A big move and some P-inspiration!

I can't believe how times passes so fast...a post is highly overdue.

Sooo much has happened since September I can't possibly fit in to one post. The main thing is that we moved into the house in time for Christmas.  We did a lot of work on the house in 3 months and it goes without saying that the budget was exceeded, but we have a lovely home and my in-laws have a home of their own(our old house) when they move to join us in May.  Not going to inundate your with pictures but thought you might like a before and after of my favorite room the kitchen....

before the wall got knocked down

Granted the after pic doesn't show things nice and tidy but we are getting there...

This is also the room where the inspiration through social media has played a part.  A friend of my DH had posted and link to an idea which we thought so good and we had the 'ingredients' for.  SO for very little cost we made this...
Using one of the doors, some left over paint from the kitchen, some photos from DH's trips to the USA and some new hooks we now have a lovely and useful feature (no more school bags being found lying on the floor - I hope).

On the stitchy front I have a 'finished' crochet blanket the I will share once all the ends are woven in. I have also decided to finish things before starting anything more so have return to the Time and Season Sampler Moira Blackburn that I started in Feb 2012 which I didn't really get stuck into at the time but progress has resumed. I am determined to finish things - the list is long between the house and my needle but it will happen (you can hear the determination, can't you?)

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter.

Little Post script un-post-related: Please bear with me - I need to pour out a little of what is inside.. I have been feeling overwhelmed with life and work recently.  I am not happy in my work and don't currently have the courage to leave it even with the anxiety I feel towards it (and at the minute the income is needed). The pressures of money, family and all that is around feel a little consuming. I am so grateful for what life has given me this far but could really use some peace inside and a little comfort that things will ease.  Just having a moment...I know all things will pass.
