The Big Clear Out

With Christmas over and New Year fast approaching I am feeling compelled to clear out all the clutter and unused belongings.  It may be the need to attempt to start 2012 nice and fresh, clean slate etc...

After 2011 which didn't prove to be a great year, I am in planning mode....not always a good thing for the nearest and dearest as I try to organise them too...not much chance of that really, hahaha.

On a less determined note I have still found some time to start a new stitch.

Simple Life

This is going to be a gift for my mum, and I am getting great joy out of it in the process.

I'm not one for resolutions but think next year needs to be a homemade christmas...so any gift ideas to make would be appreciated.

Go placidly amidst the noise and haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence.........

4 more Sleeps...

4 more sleeps according to the little rascals that are trying to drive me crazy.....
It's that "crazy time" of year apparently and yes, I know the excitement is what is driving the madness in my house, but I am looking forward to the quiet once they are tucked up in bed.

Fortunately all my pre-Christmas commitments are finished, bar for a few last minute deliveries.  In an effort to be thrifty..I had a go at some homemade gifts and came up with these sweet book covers...

Am itching to start a new project....but am having to conquer the chaos that is my house before I do.
It's the carrot dangling the other side of the massive ironing pile in front of me, to which i nust now return....

Winter Wonderland

Woke to find a postcard picture out my window this morning, our little town is covered with the first real snow of winter.   I love seeing it all white and clean.  Just in time too as Christmas is almost leaping around the corner.
My darling children have just about had enough of waiting...

In the spirit of things I've completed Quaker de Noel ....

a good start

Last year after desperately looking for a Christmassy type jumper for my darling children  ... I took up the challenge to produce my own...
                                                                              and here they are....


So pleased I was with my handiwork that the thought took hold that maybe i could produce one every year...
DD was the lucky one this year...really enjoyed the cable - work and the young lady has taken a shine to it can't beat that;-)


Am starting to find my way back to my crafty self ......




with Christmas looming I'm hope to finish the Quaker de Noel ...so far so good....
